Destiny Shmestiny: Does God have a plan for your life?

It's a new year and many people are starting to look to the future. What subjects should I pick in VCE so I can study towards my preferred career? Should I make a five year plan? Is that thinking too far ahead or not far enough? Does God have my life planned out? If so, am I able to ignore it  and do my own thing?

These are the sorts of questions we'll be looking at during our first TGIF ever! Some of those questions might hurt your brain a bit so we've organised some fun times as well to take the pressure off. Here's the details for your diary:

  • Start Time: 7:15 for a 7:30 start
  • Pickup Time: 9:30pm
  • Location: St Hilarys - 12 John St. Kew
  • Cost: $5
  • Bring: Yourself, a friend

If you're not in one, what's wrong with you?

    Sundays starting Feb 14th.

With around 200 people attending the 7pm service it is important to not get lost in the crowd. Small Groups are... well... small groups of people who meet together in homes. During Small Group we study the bible, pray and do life together under the guidance of young adult leaders from the 7pm community.

To start term 1 we will be all meeting at the one location (12 John St. Kew) and then heading off to meet in people's homes in a few weeks time.

  • Start Time: 4:30 - 7pm
  • Location: St Hilarys - 12 John St. Kew
  • Cost: $5
  • Bring: Yourself, a friend, a bible
  • Thank God It's Friday

    Term 1 dates

TGIF is our new regular Friday night event for people in years 10,11 and 12. They're not weekly though so make sure you put these dates in your diary so you don't miss out.

    • February 12th
    • March 12th

    What's on?

We have a strong community for people in year 10, 11 & 12 with several different ways to be involved. We are passionate about equipping young people to live lives of meaning, purpose and hope through a relationship with Jesus Christ. We have three key types of meeting.

    Small Groups
With around 200 people attending the 7pm service it is important to not get lost in the crowd. Small Groups are... well... small groups of people who meet together in homes. Most of them meet on Sundays at 4:30 but in 2010 we will also have alternate meeting times. During Small Group we study the bible, pray and do life together under the guidance of young adult leaders from the 7pm community.

    Thank God It's Friday

Every now and then we get together for some fun and teaching aimed specifically at senior high schoolers. They're not every week but when they're on these meetings are the place to be and a great place to invite friends as well.

    Shac7 Services
We meet at 7pm in the hall at Genazzano College (Cotham Rd, Kew) every Sunday night. This service is targeted at secondary students and young adults. The service creatively presents relevant bible teaching, dynamic worship music and prayer for our church, community and world.
