Young Adults
At Shac7 we have a thriving young adults ministry. We are committed to growing together in our Christian life as we enter university and the workplace. An essential part of young adults is weekly participation in small groups. We also meet regularly throughout the year for teaching nights. The members of our community have a wide range of interests, from engaging with politics, refugees and international mission, to sport, music and the arts. There are also a large number of young adults leading Shac youth ministries. We are always encouraging creativity and community-led initiatives, in order to connect church and non-church friends, and to connect our gifts and interests with God's purposes.

Sue Allen, experienced financial adviser and accountant will lead a highly practical session for couples on issues with finances and budgeting. This will include time to talk/work together privately as a couple.

Marriage Preparation and Education
Marriage Preparation
The "Marriage Preparation Course" will run twice at St. Hilary's in 2010. This course is for engaged and newly married couples, to aims to equip them with the tools they need to build a lifelong healthy marriage.

Marriage Education
For couples of all ages and stages, we will run a series of one-off evening sessions on a number of different issues throughout the year. We will hear from couples from our community and from professionals, and there will be time to talk with others and as a couple.

Small Groups
In addition to our weekly service, we currently have 11 young adults small groups running every week.
Small groups are vital to discipleship as they offer an opportunity to develop relationships, to learn from each other, and to study the bible in greater depth. Groups run Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday nights at homes all around Melbourne. We usually begin with dinner together, then spend time looking at the bible and in prayer.
