Young Adults

At Shac7 we have a thriving young adults ministry. We are committed to growing together in our Christian life as we enter university and the workplace. An essential part of young adults is weekly participation in small groups. We also meet regularly throughout the year for teaching nights. The members of our community have a wide range of interests, from engaging with politics, refugees and international mission, to sport, music and the arts. There are also a large number of young adults leading Shac youth ministries. We are always encouraging creativity and community-led initiatives, in order to connect church and non-church friends, and to connect our gifts and interests with God's purposes.

Small Group Teaching Series

Come and join us as all our small groups meet together for three weeks, for some teaching on our priorities for 2010.

Week 1 - Covenant Community   Wednesday 3rd February

7pm, at St. Silas Church (Osburn St. North Balwyn)

Dinner, $5

Week 2 - Get Involved  Wednesday 10th February

7:30, at St. Hilary's Church (12 John St. Kew)

Week 3 - Spiritual Friendships  Wednesday 17th February

7:30, at St. Hilary's Church (12 John St. Kew)

If you are already in a small group, come along and meet your group there.

If you are new and are interested in joining a group, feel free to come along and I can place you in a group on the night.

Marriage Preparation Course

Our first Marriage Preparation Course for 2010 is starting soon!

Small Groups

In addition to our weekly service, we currently have 11 young adults small groups running every week.
Small groups are vital to discipleship as they offer an opportunity to develop relationships, to learn from each other, and to study the bible in greater depth.  Groups run Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday nights at homes all around Melbourne. We usually begin with dinner together, then spend time looking at the bible and in prayer.
